Dr. Susan Gilliam is a native of Los Angeles. After many years in the corporate office environment in a completely different field, she chose veterinary medicine as a second career, so that she could have a positive impact on pet companions and their guardians. With the loving support of her husband, she returned to school to obtain a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology at CSU Dominguez Hills, and then completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences.
After spending two years gaining tremendous experience commuting to practice in the San Fernando Valley, Dr. Gilliam is pleased to join the wonderful Bay Animal Hospital team close to home on the Westside. And although she misses her patients and clients at the previous practice, she very much looks forward to establishing special relationships with the patients and clients at Bay Animal Hospital.
When not at work, Dr Giliam enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling. Dr. Gilliam is married and has a spoiled and goofy dog.
